(Photos by Jacob Marshall) – We have seen lots of cool stuff so far from Jacob Marshall’s coverage of the TX2K15 event in Texas but this is the iron we have been waiting to show you. Yeah, the exotics are cool and they have their place but we wanted to give you the goods on the cool pony cars and American iron that was assaulting the surface at Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, Texas. This collection of photos deliver just that. Lots of cool late model machines with turbos, lots of worked up drag cars with turbos and lots of trucks with…turbos. Hmmm, guess what the big trend in late model performance is?

These photos were taken during the traditional drag racing portion of the TX2K15 program. We note that because there is also a popular roll racing portion of the weekend held on the strip. This was the old school, stand on the gas when the lights come down quarter mile drag race. Good stuff happening in this gallery and lots of really cool cars!
