Southeast Gassers Action Photos: Mooresville Dragway Was Gasser Ground Zero and We Were There!

(Photos by David Whealon) – We have long been fans of the Southeast Gassers around here and there’s a great reason. They run off of what can be called the 1968 NHRA rule book, and Quain Stott who runs the series maintains a tight grip on the veracity of the cars. Nothing is allowed that wasn’t available in the late 1960s and that means there ares no electronics on the car at all and the drivers are having to do everything from launching to shifting, and all-else without any electronic aids.

Screaming engines, classic tracks, amazing cars, and drivers putting on a show the likes of which haven’t been seen for 50 years. Yes, the SE Gassers are awesome and we think that you will love this first installment of photos from Mooresville Dragway in North Carolina.

Classics cars, classic track, big fun!
