Morning Symphony: The Stick-Shift Class At Street Car Takeover Bowling Green

Morning Symphony: The Stick-Shift Class At Street Car Takeover Bowling Green

Come this weekend, the rolling hills around Bowling Green are going to be echoing with the sounds of all things GM as LS Fest East kicks off. For the next few days, there will be tons upon tons of action and one section that we always look forward to seeing are the stick-shift cars as they do their thing. Look, you automatic trans fans, we understand that an auto is better suited for real-deal racing, that it’s easier and more consistent. We get that. But watching a racer who knows what the hell they are doing go through the box, catching gears with just about zero concern for what happens inside the box and absolutely no mercy given to the system whatsoever….that’s music to our ears. We love seeing a good launch, love watching the car sashay back and forth between shifts, and that chirp between shifts…oh, there is NOTHING better.

So, with everything about to go down at Beech Bend, we feel that showcasing some stick-shift action from when Street Car Takeover was in town is more than appropriate. Music to our ears!

Why do all of these stick cars run drag radials? They just don’t hook off the line like bias plus ( wrinkle walls)
