Quick-release steering wheels are great in race cars and can make getting in and out of the car a lot easier, and can also aid in doing maintenance between rounds or in the shop. Regardless of why you have one, if you also have a button or four on the steering wheel then you know that it is often a pain to get the steering wheel disconnected from the wiring harness. With this new kit from Motion Raceworks that is NOT an issue. When paired with their proprietary steering wheel quick release, you have a perfect steering and control system.

ATTENTION DRAG AND DRIVE COMPETITORS!!! This system also allows you to disconnect the cord from your steering wheel while driving on the street! Just disconnect it and tuck it away. This is a really convenient way to go from race mode to street mode.

And before you start talking about how you need your trans brake button to back up, remember that any street shifter is equipped with two micro switches. One for the neutral safety switch and the other for the reverse lights. This reverse light switch can be connected to your trans brake for hands-free reverse action. Unlike the other race-only shifters out there, Motion’s Operator Shifters are so equipped so you get full race shifting action AND a reverse light/reverse switch.
