Well, the 2019 NHRA AutoClub Finals are on for this weekend. The last race of the 2019 NHRA season will wrap up the championship chases and wrap up the 11-month odyssey known as the Mello Yellowfins drag racing season tour. Because of this fact, I gathered up a huge number of guests for this last show and they’re mostly people that you know. Tony Pedregon, Bruno Massel, Jamie Howe, Lewis Bloom, and Amanda Busick all give their championship picks. Other guests include Todd Veney and Pete Richards, two men who work in producing roles on the show and have a big part of getting the NHRA races on television week in and week out. It’s a really fun group.

Beyond giving their championship picks, everyone talks about their role on the show and while that may be straightforward, it’s interesting to kind of get the whole whip around and to hear about how people got to where they are as part of the team.

The real fun here is the championship picks that everyone levels. There is a class or two that’s basically universal in decision but then there are a couple that are kind of all over the place.
