The NHRA Lucas Oil Nationals were one heck of a good time in Brainerd, Minnesota. The track surface at the place is about the best that exists in the the world, the weather cooled off, and the lunatic fans from the zoo packed the stands all weekend long. The funny car race was perhaps the tightest and craziest we have seen in years, as is the championship points battle that currently has positions 1-6 split by less than 70 points haded into the US Nationals next weekend.

Below you will find a collection of videos from the weekend. The good stuff are the final round wins for Hagan and Torrence. The tough stuff is Leah’s explosion when a rod bolt failed on the step of the throttle and Justin Bond’s top end wall contact at speed. Leah as able to recover from her issue as it happened in qualifying. Bond has very little time to get his car fixed before Indy. The thrash is on.
