(Photos by Benoit Pigeon) – There are just some events you NEED to attend and every sport has them. In drag racing, there’s a list that could be made of big ones across the country that any hardcore fan should visit and on that list somewhere would be the PDRA’s Dragstock. 12 years ago under the ADRL banner, Dragstock came to life and was run for several years at the famed “House of Hook”, Carolina Dragway. After the event grew to such proportions that Carolina Dragway could no longer hold it, the race went to Rockingham Dragway in North Carolina and there it has stayed for most (if not all) of those 12 years.

Like a great prize fight there’s lots of hype and trash talk and the racing is top shelf. While the huge crowds that used to populate the stands at the ADRL races aren’t the norm anymore, the cars that show up continue to do so in volume and they are certainly of a high quality as well. This gallery will show you a literal murder’s row of awesome door slammers, some you will recognize and others you won’t be as familiar with.
