Performance Racing Industry Show 2017: Holley’s Show Of Force Was On Full Display!

Performance Racing Industry Show 2017: Holley’s Show Of Force Was On Full Display!

Consider this partially a shameless plug for Holley’s “Happy Holley Days” sale that’s going on through the end of the year, and a visual walk-through of the good stuff that the folks just up the street from McTaggart’s house have been working on. Holley always has a spread of good stuff laid out when the show off at trade shows…not too difficult when they have names like Mr. Gasket, Earl’s, MSD, Diablosport and others under the corporate umbrella. They bring in parts by the truckload and more than enough people to handle just about any question that they can be hit with…and usually, it still isn’t enough, because everybody has questions for the team!

One of the newest parts that the Holley folks wanted to show off was the new Sniper EFI 2300 2-barrel self-tuning system. Capable of handling around 350 horsepower, available with either a Ford C4/C6 transmission kickdown lever or common GM automatics (including TH series and 700R4) applications, the Sniper 2300 is designed to replace any carburetor that used the 2300 Holley flange, such as the Holley 0-4412. You can also adapt it to a square flange or Quadrajet flange with a Mr. Gasket adapter. You just need to run four wires (battery positive and negative, key on and a tachometer signal) and it’s internal fuel pressure regulator will handle feeding the beast.

The Holley 351W Hi-Ram system is also high on their feature list. We saw this for the first time at SEMA 2017, and while some Ford fans might cringe at the sight of the GM LS-style throttle body, know that the parts you’ll be getting are known to work well in many abusive kinds of situations. Paired off with the Holley EFI dual-sync low-profile distributor that fits neatly under the intake’s snout, this system will let that 351 breathe like it should have been able to from the factory.

It’s not the gas-staion energy drink, but it’ll do a much better job of waking you up at the first hit. When the teams at Holley, MSD and Nitrous Oxide Systems come together, witchcraft happens…the beautiful kind of witchcraft that allows instant displacement with a simple push of a button. You can spray and pray or you can dial in the feed to whatever degree you want, from a simple hit to “OH HOLY MOTHER OF GOD”. These guys like nitrous. A lot.

Put bluntly, if Holley can’t help you out with all of the resources they have on hand, we will be absolutely shocked. Outside of building cars from the ground up and paint, these guys seem to have a corner for just about everything. Take a closer look at some of the goodies that they had on the table at the 2017 PRI Show and be sure to hit them up if you’re ready to make a move on your winter project!

  1. Chevy Hatin' Mad Geordie

Holley seems to have woken up to the fact that there are indeed other engines out there apart from the LS. But they can’t quite break free of their addiction and are willing to pollute a Ford motor with LS based fuel injection. These parts will gather dust on the shelves of speed shops as no Ford fan would ever buy them!

  2. Chris

Hi my name is Chris and I just wanna say I can;\’t wait for Holley to hop off Chevy\’s Dick and get some Ford nut in them, I love Holley and their products but they always lean toward Chevy in some way

When will you guys get Upgrades for Ford\’s 427 and 351 V8 Engines, and can anybody recommend a DOHC Set for both Engines I have upcoming projects
