(By Greg Rourke) –How many automotive projects have I started and never finished? All of them. I know I’m not alone in this. Start with big plans, acquire parts, make a big mess in the garage, annoy the neighbors and code enforcement officer, end up selling everything for two cents on the dollar. Here’s a guy who followed my m.o. with a car once featured on these hallowed pages.
A few years back a guy in Wisconsin was selling a 383 powered Pontiac T1000. He was asking $4000 back then. At some point the little monster made it to Morris Illinois where it now for sale again, minus the 383. The seller notes that it appears the car never ran under it’s own power. Previously Brian noted that perhaps the front suspension could use a little help. The current owner claims to have fixed that. Oh dear, looks like the tin worms have gotten to the floors so that must be addressed. The current seller has a bunch of extra parts he’ll be happy to sell so maybe someone else will finally finish it up.
The seller shows the original BangShift story from 2014, so it looks like he’s one of us and therefore a stand up guy. Any takers? Or will be doing another story in 2024?
Soon to come to a crusher near you….
Thanks for the shout out guys this is mine lol. Had to pretty much start from scratch for the front suspension and had to acquire all the mounting brackets for the crossmember and control arms. Now it can actually steer and roll!
