Watch Andy Manson Run 6.26/221mph In His ProCharged Small Block Ford Mustang!

We live in a world where guys with small block Ford engines, albeit ultra-hardcore versions of that platform can run freaking 6.20s in the quarter at OVER 221mph. This is a good world to live in. Oh, and all the while doing it on a little radial rear tire. Who else wants to raise their hand and remember the days of pro mods busting into the bottom 6.20s with blown ally burning hemi engines?!

This car is awesome and the event these runs were made at is awesome as well. The Haltech World Cup at Maryland International Raceway is an unbridled, bare-knuckle, rollicking contest that still lives on the quarter mile life. Machines like Manson’s which normally competes in Limited Drag Radial typically run the eighth mile. At World Cup? Hell no, make the full pull baby!

This Anthony Disomma built engine is gnarly and make no mistake, it is creating thousands of horsepower to do this, especially with the speed number on the board. Manson’s 4.08-second elapsed time puts him near the quickest ever in LDR as well!

We love the in car because there is no air shifter, there is no air popper for the parachutes and boy do those parachutes HIT!

Manson drives it like a boss and the boys at PTP tuned this mother up to GOOOO!

That is simply amazing. Man that car is really dialed in. A 1.04 60’ and a 4.08 1/8th on a limited drag radial? Wow. It seems like just yesterday that cars were first breaking into the 7’s on drag radials.
