Fun Stuff: Relive The 1992 NHRA Gatornationals With Ron Capps, JR Todd, and Lohnes – Good Times!

Fun Stuff: Relive The 1992 NHRA Gatornationals With Ron Capps, JR Todd, and Lohnes – Good Times!

The 1992 NHRA Gatornationals is one of the most awesome races of all time. The top fuel field kept setting records, Kenny Bernstein went 301 mph, and the action in all the classes was hot and heavy. In this episode of NHRA Time Machine LIVE, Ron Capps, JR Todd, and Brian Lohnes watch the race broadcast and comment on it, Mystery Science Theater 3000 style. Inside stories from back in the day, insight you might have never known, and some laughs with the guys picking apart some of the stuff on the broadcast.

If you love the history of the NHRA and certainly one of the greatest races of all time, this is a fun watch. Capps was just coming into his first top fuel ride in 1992, Lohnes and Todd were literally kids on the couch at home watching the event, and they all bring their perspective to the conversation here.

A rollicking good time and a rollicking good race!

You guys are making me fee old. I was at the Texas Motorplex in 91 when Jim White went 291 in the Roland Leong’s Hawaiian Punch funny car. Eddie Hill, Jimmy Nix, Lori Johns, they were all
there. Went all four days and had a blast.
