SACRILEGE! FINNEGAN IS RIPPING OUT THE STRAIGHT AXLE AND SWITCHING BLASPHEMI TO A-ARMS!

Holy Crap! What the hell is he thinking? Finnegan has decided that the solid front axle in Blasphemi, while great for the gasser looks he’s after, are not doing it from a handling perspective. I’m sad to see this, and have some ideas for the straight axle, but Mike has been dealing with this thing for some time and has decided that going with an a-arm front suspension is the way to go. This setup is supposed to offer significant improvement in front end travel which should make it easier to drive and will make it a lot more consistent as well.

Check out the video as Mike tells us all about the changes and does the swap!

Video Description:

Can you believe I’ve made 310 episodes of Finnegan’s Garage? I’m amazed that my wife still lets me wake the neighbors with open headers and smoke out the living room as I cut, grind, weld and wrench in our basement garage. This episode is all about fixing the front end of Blasphemi in preparation for a return to Hot Rod Drag Week. After assessing the damage incurred at the Midwest Drags event in June, we hauled Blasphemi to Scotts Hot Rods in Knoxville, Tennessee to upgrade the front suspension and steering to a long-travel a-arm setup. Scott’s not only builds IFS conversions but also crafts full chassis and complete custom vehicles builds. Want more info? Go here: https://scottshotrods.com

Things are about to get a lot more efficient here at Finnegan’s Garage because I now have better tools and equipment thanks to the folks at B&P Manufacturing, who helped create the FSM line of Garage Gear. Moving 55-gallon drums of race fuel, axles, or heavy boxes is no longer a problem now that I have these incredible aluminum carts, dollys and hand trucks with wheels that never go flat! You, too, can enjoy your own FSM-branded equipment from B&P by clicking here: https://www.bpmfg.com/mike-finnegans-…

Also, I just dropped a new Blasphemi shirt design that was created by my friend, Chris Hosner and it’s one of our best collaborations yet! We made this one to celebrate our return to competition at Hot Rod Drag Week 2024 and you can join Team Party Pulley but clicking here: https://www.fsmgarage.com

Thanks for watching! -Finnegan
