We are just now getting word that Drag Week first-timer Jason Tabscott’s 1975 Chevrolet Camaro and his late-model GMC Sierra tow rig were stolen. Tabscott, whose high-revving Street Race Small-Block N/A Camaro has been hanging the hoops all weekend on Drag Week, got to experience the feeling not a single one of us ever wants to see: that sick pit in the bottom of your stomach when you look at the empty parking spaces where your rides used to be just a few minutes ago. We know that the car was stolen out of the Drury Inn/Ruby Tuesday parking lot in Collinsville, Illinois a couple of hours ago, and as we get more information, we will update. But for now, if you are in the St. Louis Metro area or nearby, keep on the lookout for these two vehicles.

That car was fun to watch/hear go down the tack all week. I am semi-local to STL and have spread the word. I’ve had my car stolen while attending an event, and yes is royally sucks.
I hope the rig is recovered and the scumbags suffer physically and emotionally (do thieves have emotions?). Even if they get away with it, their karma is shot and they will suffer in ways not even associated with this theft. That said, it would be good to see them bleed and know why,
