Watch The Hot Rod Drag Week 2015 Heads Up Shootout LIVE Right Here!

While the actual Hot Rod Drag Week 2015 competition has ended, there is one more day of action here at Gateway Motorsports Park and that is the second annual Drag Week Heads Up Shootout. This unique format or race throws every one of the cars that actually completed the event into a pot and runs them off against each other with random pairings at first, then on a ladder, and finally the final eight pick and choose who they are going to run until we crown a champ.

That’s the deal, now tune in!

If you come as a spectator, are you allowed in and around the pits to see the cars up close? Or must you stay in the stands?

Normal drag race rules at the previous years. I’d assume the same this year.. Every ticket is a Pit Pass.. LOL

Heard Brian mention the LS powered Ram at LSfest. Yup, guilty! We did it. It’s packing a TT 408 Went out during test and tune with motor mount issues. Coasted to a 12.14. Got it safe to drive but not on the track. Thanks for noticing it we’re stoked for next year.

I’m with Tubbed Pacecar, I want to know what happened to Larson. If it has already been addressed, please repeat it here for those of us who missed it. I had planned way back when the venues were released to be at Indy on the 15th, making sure I had my vacation secured. I didn’t want to miss seeing the truck that we all got to see being built right here on Bangshift. Also, being a huge fan of Larson since his Nova was pink, i was disappointed to catch a blip of Brian (on Monday) saying he wouldn’t be there.

(continuing)… I had read on hotrod.com about a month ago that he wouldn’t be there to compete, so I pm’d his facebook page thinking i would get somekind of reply, I didn’t…. blah, blah, blah… i could go on, but i wont. I just really want to know why!!!

The simple answer is that he didn’t want to come I guess. He wasn’t a huge fan of a couple of the tracks and just decided to leave the truck at home.

In an ironic twist he would likely be leading the event right now if he had brough the Nova.

Yesterday, David mentioned the number of folks watching the LSV.

Did his counter go to zero after YouTube marked the video as Private?

I was on YellowBullet in the Trash or be trashed section and there is a Dragweek post. Video is working there.

Lohnes, Freiberger, and the crew are abandoning Cordova for the day due to incoming foul weather which may include lightning.

They plan to be LSV-ing from St. Louis tomorrow and Saturday.

Thanks Brian, that’s 5:30 AM east coast Australia, better get some shut eye.

Your blog also says “The live video will kick off right around 2:30 AM Central time” in the 2nd line

Looks like whatever this post is linking to is marked private. The link 65RHDeer supplied works though.

I thought the NAPA commercial at the beginning was worth sitting through.
