(Photo: Scott Clark — Video by Jeff Stacy) – The record for a street legal vehicle in the quarter mile has been smashed again, this time by the guy who currently held it. On en evening test pass on the eve of the 2015 Jegs PSCA Street Car Super Nationals presented by Chris Alston’s Chassisworks Larry Larson went 5.89 at only 239 mph out the back door of the track leading some (including us) to believe that this truck will shatter the current 251 terminal speed record held by Jeff Lutz by the time the weekend is out.
If you don’t tune into the LIVE, FREE streaming video of this race starting tomorrow around 12:30pm Las Vegas time, you are a big dummy. That is all.

5.89 239. Shut it off early. Not bad for a street car.
