(Photo: Scott Clark — Video by Jeff Stacy) – The record for a street legal vehicle in the quarter mile has been smashed again, this time by the guy who currently held it. On en evening test pass on the eve of the 2015 Jegs PSCA Street Car Super Nationals presented by Chris Alston’s Chassisworks Larry Larson went 5.89 at only 239 mph out the back door of the track leading some (including us) to believe that this truck will shatter the current 251 terminal speed record held by Jeff Lutz by the time the weekend is out.

5.89 239. Shut it off early. Not bad for a street car.
