(Photos by Charles Wickam) – It is funny how at every level of drag racing there’s a “strata” of events. In nostalgia drag racing you have big races like the March Meet or the Hot Rod Reunion in Bakersfield or the Meltdown Drags at Byron but you also have hundreds and hundreds of smaller events that get people to the track in old stuff just to horse around and have fun. One of those events just went down in the form of the vintage drags at Little River Dragway in Texas and our own Charles Wickam was there.
His photos are great and they capture the essence of the cars, the people and the track that made this thing so much fun. It was the second year for this particular race and it has grown and grown. Next year will be even more boss! Enjoy the photos and this trip back in drag racing time at Little River Dragway!
