Everyone knows Alex Taylor’s cool 6-second 1955 Chevrolet that she and the Taylor family put together for Drag and Drive events, as this thing has been a beast. Sure it took some time to iron out, just like all good race cars, but they have had some great success with it and Alex is excited to get back behind the wheel in 2024 since they hurt the engine last year. Keep in mind, the engine they have been running in the ’55 has always been a temporary setup as they planned for a real purpose built bullet for her car. As all of you Taylor fans know, she’s as hands on as they get and in this video she and her dad Dennis are going to be talking about what is going into this new combo as they get it ready to unveil the car at Sick Week 2024 in Florida.
If you live under a rock and don’t know, this event is happening at the end of this month and that means they don’t have much time to get the engine done and tested. But they’ve done this plenty of times and we’re sure they will get it on the road and rocking before you know it.
Check out the video below and let us know what you think.
Video Description:
It’s finally time to get the 55 back out! Last year when we hurt our engine, our spare one was not ready – we were waiting on parts. So we ended up sitting out the second half of the race season. But! Finally all of the pieces have come together and we are putting together my new engine to get ready for Sick Week coming up at the end of January. This is very similar to the engine that was in it before, just a few upgrades. Plus! now we can get the other one repaired and it can go back in dad’s Nova finally! Check out all the pieces that make this 3,000 hp target possible, as well as why we choose some of the pieces that we choose to run.
