Watch Hot Rod Drag Week Here: 2018 Live Streaming Coverage Starting From Atlanta Today

It is that time of the year again, time to tune in and watch some of the most interesting, weird, wild, and fast street legal cars in the world compete at four tracks in five days and pound pavement the entire time. There are more than 400 cars starting the event today at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia. Along the week they will visit Darlington Dragway, zMax Dragway, and Bristol Dragway before heading back to their home base in Georgia. The tracks this year are all new to Drag Week for the first time since the 2011 event, meaning every year since then, at least one of the tracks had been part of a prior running of the endurance drag race to end all endurance drag races.

Interesting the event’s focus has shifted over the years. Perhaps not the direction of the competition but the direction of the competitors. The Unlimited Class is less of a primary focus than it was in the early years of competition and the incredible number of interesting, awesome, and just plain fast smaller tire cars have grabbed a load of attention. Look for the Super Street Small Block Power Adder class to be an incredible study in running 8.50 on a small tire. Last year the win was grabbed by less than a hundredth of a second average over 5 days.

This is going to be really, really fun and both Freiburger and I are looking forward to bringing you the action!

These guys never claimed to be in there right mind. Anyways, if these are “Street cars”, weather shouldn’t matter. I say run ’em in the rain!

The link to the live feed is missing. Clicking on the \”DragWeek\” graphic does nothing.
Clicking on the instructions above the graphic takes you to the Hot Rod website with no sign of Video live streaming. Using Google Chrome on android phone.

With Hurricane Flo hitting the shore of NC byThursday, it’s going to be close. Will they make it thru the week? Time will tell.
