2015 Grand National Roadster Show AMBR Contender: Red Hot Attraction Roadster From Sweden

This car is unique among AMBR contenders for several reasons but the biggest is that it was built in Sweden! The owner of the car is a man named Robert Hoffman and it is his vision that you see before you. Note that we did not state what “make” the car is. That’s because the body was hand formed from sheets of aluminum which means that this is basically a “Hoffman” if you wanted to call it anything. The name of the car is Red Hot Attraction and we’re not sure if it was shipped directly to California or if it made landfall on the east coast and traveled by truck the rest of the way. The look of the car is completely unique among the AMBR crowd and we’ll let you decide if that is a positive or not. We think that this car may have the most polarizing looks of the bunch as well.

The engine (as you can plainly tell) is a big Chrysler hemi and we were able to leer inside the car to see three pedals and a shifter coming up through the floor. The front suspension is independent and polished to the nines, the nose and body panels have the same incredible fitment and curves that we have come to expect from these cars and the paint scheme is tasteful. Overall this is the car that we think most people will have a strong opinion on one way or the other.

I love the Christianson’s car. Love the ’27, too. But this car I like best because it’s different. The others are nice, nostalgic (after a fashion) of the old hot rodding days. But is that what AMBR is about? I don’t think so. This one is cool, and all other things being equal, would be my choice. We need to shake things up a bit…

Needs to lose the wire wheels, but the paint is awesome and I bet it’s a nasty bastard to drive
