The 2017 LA Roadster Show was huge. We have run half a dozen photo galleries now and there are still plenty more to come from the event. We happened to be talking to some guys over the weekend that we had never met. They were hot rodders/car guys and they were sharing stories of their projects. In an almost apologetic tone, one guy declared his car “a driver” like it was something bad. Let us be the first to tell him, that’s actually an awesome thing.
We bet many of you agree but the cars that always catch our attention at shows and events are the ones that clearly get used and are not just sitting there having been polished on for 12 hours. If there are some chips and dings, all the more better. We’re not taking pot shots at the owners of the high end, highly finished hot rods but simply stating that we love the regular guy stuff as much as anyone.

I thought the show was a huge disappointment. I expected hundreds of roadsters and only saw about 50 cars. The swap meet was dismal at best. Really you call this a huge show…..
