2018 Pumpkin Run Nationals: Haulers, Trucks, Wagons And More Vintage Steel That We Love!

2018 Pumpkin Run Nationals: Haulers, Trucks, Wagons And More Vintage Steel That We Love!

(Words and photos by Doug Gregory) – Why is there another shot (different angle and light) of the flamed ’40 Ford…?  Because I like it so much and I’m the one putting these galleries together.  It’s somewhat utilitarian so don’t judge me.  You will also find at least two shots of Jace Jordan’s beautiful, green fat-fender Chevy in my coverage.  This thing does double-duty as a push truck for cacklefest fuelers so it has that and it’s looks going for it.

Hometown moment here.  This ’79 Ford F250 with the Western (or maybe Appliance) wheels is a trip back to my younger days.  Not only were there plenty of these running around back then, but my step-father had a blue high-rider with a 400/4sp running the same wheels.  I’d use this as my daily.

Check out the maroon, SWB C10 square-body complete with a 454.  This thing was super clean.

The gold, former long-bed C10 was all over the place and always with a bed full of people out taking in the show.  That’s one way to stress test your work.

The charcoal gray Willys pickup is powered by a 4.3 V6 and what looks to be a pristine, unaltered body.

The sharp-looking ’37 Ford pickup never sat still long enough for me to get a photo so I shot a few as it passed us by.

Lastly check out this blue K30 square-body sitting in the swap meet (not for sale) complete with topper and slots shod with big meats.  This is the epitome of bubba truck.  Love it.

That’s the end of the haulers.  Not enough…?  We were there until it was too dark to shoot and still tried to get more.
