Pinnacle Of What: The New 2021 Chrysler Pacifica Pinnacle Is Not Built For Penny Pinchers

Pinnacle Of What: The New 2021 Chrysler Pacifica Pinnacle Is Not Built For Penny Pinchers

(By Tom Lohnes) – Do you want a minivan over a large SUV such as a Ford Expedition or a Chevy Tahoe for some reason and have over $50,000 to blow? Well, Chrysler has the perfect van for you and it is probably not a great financial decision and it’s called the 2021 Pacifica Pinnacle.

Now, if you’re like me, you’d be wondering how a minivan can get so expensive. Well, Chrysler has made an “ultra-luxury” van, which is literally their previous top-of-the-line model with more stitching and pillows in the back. With the last top trim, even optioned with the plug-in-hybrid powertrain not even coming close to $45,000 it is extremely weird that a vehicle in a dying segment could ever get so expensive, and Chrysler could have used some of that van refresh money to work on a new SUV which is seemingly a big hole in their lineup. For about $65,000, which this van is fully specced out with every package, you can get a Chevy Tahoe Premier 4×4 or a 4×2 Ford expedition Limited.

In conclusion, to me this van makes no sense at all in any way to buy over a nicely specced, reliable Tahoe or expedition. Maybe it’ll be a future classic for its rarity, but I doubt it.

I’d rather drive a minivan than an SUV. More comfortable to live with every day. But the price on this thing is crazy. Of course, the price on a Tahoe is also crazy.
