The Ford 100E and Miata conglomeration called The Mongrel is turning into one really bitchin machine and is becoming more and more complete by the minute. Fiberglass fenders, doors, and more have become part of the once rusty hulk and we have to say that the fit and finish seems pretty bad ass. That is nothing compared to the really creative and cool way that the fenders have been mounted to this thing though. In fact, I like it so much I think I just might put it to good use on a project we have in the works in the shop. Take a look at the quick release mounts, awesome tube front core support structure, and the tabs used to mount it all up. Simple, like most of this project, but ultra functional and cool. That’s a win in our book.
What do you think?
I know this is a weird little project, but man it just speaks to me. We really dig this thing and I love the fact that it is built mostly with creativity and skill instead of high dollar parts. It is the thought process that goes into this one that makes me anxious to see what the next installment will feature.
