Crazy Bike: The Asking Price Is $250,000 And The Engine Is A Supercharged Ferrari Dino V6!

Crazy Bike: The Asking Price Is $250,000 And The Engine Is A Supercharged Ferrari Dino V6!

Of all the wild motorcycles we have seen over the years on BangShift few if any approach the level of cool and just flat out neatness that this one does and it is for sale in California. 100% custom built, the motorcycle is powered by a supercharged Ferrari Dino engine. All things being considered you are likely looking at a V6 powered motorcycle with about 200hp. That may not sound like a ton when you look at what guys are getting out of nitrous and boosted Hyabusas and others but the fact that this one was made from scratch and employs a car engine puts it in another class to us.

We are guessing that this is an early Dino V6 because those were all-aluminum. Later “big block” versions of the same engine with increased bore and stroke were based off of iron blocks and we’re guessing that those would be lots heavier and detrimental to the performance of the motorcycle itself. The true mystery here lies in the person that schemed it up. Said person is listed an “international motorcycle retired racer”. If we had to guess, the guy is probably Italian with the engine choice and the fact that the whole machine is essentially designed around it.

Not that we’re motorcycle designers around here but it looks great in our eyes. The proportions are right, it is not all wide and weird, the length seems to be spot on, and all of that is due to the tight 65-degree cylinder banks. You have to admit that all those sprockets and gears look freaking awesome on the side of the engine. Yes, it is weird. Yes, it is expensive but sometimes you just have to look at something and admire it.

Oh…bet it sounds great, too!

What a total and complete waste of a perfectly good [ and pretty damn rare ] Ferrari Dino V6

What a completely ludicrous excuse of a custom bike that in essence … accomplishes absolutely nothing with either its choice of motors or overall design [ You want ‘ Cool ‘ Lohnes .. have a look at JT Nesbitt’s newest creation … the Bienville Legacy … now thats … COOL … not this pretentious pile of S*** ]

What an obscene and completely unjustified price tag for such a pile of garbage

The only thing ‘ crazy ‘ being the Crazed Half Wit More Money than Brains Idiot stupid enough to pay a quarter of a million dollars for this very bad joke of a bike

Best use for this . Strip out the Dino motor for resale .. and then scrap the rest

I’m sure it wouldn’t be the best riding bike ever, but don’t you think you’re being a little harsh Mr. Kidd? If I had that rare engine I’d put it in the back of a 60s Fiat 500. The craftsmanship is spot on and the design is more than decent. Its a win in my book for the rich guy who has everything.

I bet that thing is frighteningly fast and it probably sounds great. Curious who would be insane enough to pin the throttle and hold on.

I like the concept, and the craftsmanship looks good, but the looks of it are lacking. It just looks too homebuilt for me. For 250K, I’d expect it to look like it just rolled out of Troy Trepanier’s shop.

    Bollocks!

It’s clearly clockwork – you put the key just behind the seat!

Then you ride along a bumpy road….
