Passion and Class: This Goodwood Masters Film On Duncan Pittaway Is A Great Piece On A Great Guy

This is so well worth your 20-minutes of viewing time we can hardly tell you. The film you are about to see is a profile on Duncan Pittaway, a man who’s name has appeared on these electronic pages many times before. Duncan is really into Edwardian race cars and being that he owns some of the most notable, that’s a good thing. You likely connect Duncan with the incredible Beast of Turin restoration/resurrection and that would be right but the massive Fiat is just one piece of a collection of machines that spans from Bugatti gran prix cars to weird little GN racers, all the way to a 1960s Barracuda.

This is not some rich guy stroke video that shows us British estate porn. Nope, this is a great profile on the shop, on the passion, and on the people (two guys…one of them being Duncan) who are keeping the cars running and driving. Obviously Pittaway has done OK for himself to collect this amazing menagerie of bikes, cars, tools, trucks, and equipment but the reality is that he seems like an exceedingly normal guy who is just all consumed by this.

Hell, what kind of guy is so obsessed he buys a freaking coal-fired steam car that’s basically a covered wagon without all the fanciness of a roof!

The film and the guy are both 100% BangShift approved.
