The Hotchkis Autocross as last weekend’s NMCA West event in Fontana, California was absolutely rocking. This thing showed off all that is right and good with the world of high performance corner burning because of the massive array of vehicles that came out and threw down around the cones. We have a few collections of photos to share with you from the great time we had a the track and in this first collection alone you are going to see late model muscle cars, classic American iron, huge B-body GM goodness, old Ford Crown Victoria cop cars, an exotic or two, late model compacts working it out, and several rough around the edges turn burners that totally fit the bill for tough looks and high performance. Hotchkis was involved at all three of the NMCA events at California Speedway this year and as you’d expect, each one of them got progressively more busy and packed at the year went on and people learned how much fun it is to put your car to the test.
Along with having their name above the door at these things, Hotchkis is also on-site with knowledgeable H-team members that can ride along and help you get better while also making some suggestions on how to make your car work better. The beauty of autocross is that it really does combine the best elements of driving skill and car prep. The best driver in the place can only make an ill-handling car so fast, while the best car in the place isn’t the precision tool it could be in the wrong hands. We’ve seen plenty of hot shot cars show up with wet sock drivers, but with Hotchkis there providing assistance on both ends of the spectrum, improvement and dropping times were the order of the weekend in Fontana. Our pals from TCI were out there hammering the course as well with vehicles that ranged from a first generation Mustang to a Camaro of the same vintage and a really nice hot rod. Diversity is what life’s all about.
This is great stuff and we know you’ll dig the photos below. Hit the link to check them out!
