Hotchkis Sport Suspension Goes BIG With Its Autocross Series In 2015 – Events Across The Nation!

It was big news when Hotchkis announced that it would be sponsoring autocross events at venues all across the country in 2015 but they have gone ahead and trumped themselves by growing the number of events that they’ll by four! From Fontana, California to Carlisle, Pennsylvania the Hotchkis Autocross series will have a presence in every part of the country as an attraction at events like NMCA West drag races, the Street Machine nationals in Minnesota, the Chevrolet Performance Nationals, and the Chrysler Nationals at Carlisle. Autocross was a pretty foreign concept to muscle car guys for a very long time but since the pro touring movement and the “drive your car” movement have taken root, things have changed dramatically.

Companies like Hotchkis and others have embraced the muscle car guys and they have loved ’em back, upgrading their cars to varying standards of handing prowess the likes of which their original designers never envisioned. Probably the best part of the whole situation is how the manufacturers themselves have stepped up to support their customers and give ’em a place to go out and really use their cars. Hotchkis is providing a great series of venues to have fun at in a controlled, safe way that will help people grow their driving skills and further their enjoyment of the car that lives in their garage. Everyone wins!

Here’s the full release from Hotchkis Sport Suspension and the full event calendar is below –

Santa Fe Springs, Calif. (March, 2015) – Hotchkis Sport Suspension is excited to announce that the inaugural season of its autocross series has gotten even bigger. During the 2014 SEMA Show the suspension manufacturer announced its partnership with the Street Machines Nationals series where it would be bringing the exciting sport of autocross to that series’ four events. Now, the 2015 Hotchkis Autocross series has more than doubled in size with the addition of autocross events taking place at the NMCA West drag racing series, the Chevrolet Performance Nationals, and the Carlisle Chrysler Nationals.

Thanks to the high performance potential of modern cars as well as the tremendous support from the aftermarket making classic cars handle, amateur motorsports has been enjoying a massive resurgence in America. As more gearheads get a taste for high performance driving, they are looking for a fun, affordable, and safe way to get into racing that will help them learn the true limits of their vehicles. This is why the crew at Hotchkis has been so passionate about putting on its own brand of autocross that maximizes seat time, offers instruction and education to new and experienced drivers alike, and stresses not just speed, but consistency as well.

Novice and experienced drivers will have many chances to experience the thrill of performance driving with the newly expanded Hotchkis Autocross series. In addition to the four Street Machines Nationals events in Pomona, California, Du Quoin, Illinois, St. Paul, Minnesota, and Springfield, Missouri that were announced in November, Hotchkis has signed on to put on autocrosses at six more events nationwide including all four events of the NMCA West drag racing series in Fontana, California, the Chevrolet Performance Nationals in Atlanta, Georgia, the Chrysler Nationals in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

“For years we have developed performance suspension that dramatically improves the handing and control of classic and modern muscle cars. We have also successfully produced several regional track events that encouraged customers to get out and drive their prized vehicles. Now we have the opportunity to spread our driving message nationwide with our exciting autocross series. Muscle Car owners will have a blast, meet new friends, and experience a serious adrenaline rush in a safe controlled environment, and more importantly they will leave as better drivers,” explained company CEO John Hotchkis, Jr.

Hotchkis is also excited to announce that several of the top automotive performance companies have joined the series as sponsors for this year’s autocross season. Nitto Tire, a leading manufacturer of leading manufacturer of off-road and street performance tires, has signed on as the presenting sponsor for all of the NMCA West events. Also joining the series as official product sponsors are MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust, Centerforce Clutches, and Meguiar’s. Red Line Synthetic Oil is also joining the series as an Affiliate Sponsor.

At each of these events, participants can expect a fun, yet technical course that is designed to test the limits of both their street machines and their driving skills. In addition to class trophies for quickest time and sponsor awards, Hotchkis will be presenting the driver with the quickest average time of the event with the special “Hotchkis Cup” award – rewarding clean, consistent runs and superior car control. There will also be a special Hotchkis Cup mini-season taking place at the NMCA West events where drivers will compete in a season points chase where the scores from their best three events will be combined to determine the overall season winner.

Hotchkis Autocross events are open to any vehicle that passes a simple safety inspection that checks for leaking fluids or loose parts that can become a hazard on the track. The only piece of safety equipment required to participate is a helmet and a limited number of loaners will be available at each event for drivers that don’t have their own. Why so many events in California?
Do they need nice hotchkis suspension while sitting in traffic?
I live in Utah of all places and the roads here are always shit, pot holes, big bumps, oh and slow ass mini vans to swerve around dont forget canyons we got those too. Why do an event here?
