The Huracan Sterrato Is The Most Oddly Interesting Lamborghini Ever Built – 200 Car Production Run Already Sold Out

(Words by Tom Lohnes – Photos by the manufacturer) – You’d probably never think that the same company that made the record-setting Aventador SVJ, the car that shattered the Nurburgring Production car lap record at 6.44.73 seconds would ever have any reason to make a supercar that is primed and ready for aggressive driving on the dirt, perhaps even more so than their also record-setting Urus SUV. Well they did. Lamborghini was brave enough to produce a rally supercar. This is the Huracan Sterrato.

Now, you’ve probably heard of the Lamborghini Huracan, or even seen one. It is the newest model in Lambo’s entry-level line of supercars. It is powered by a 5.2 liter Naturally aspirated V10 making 602 horsepower and 463 lb.-ft of torque to all four-wheels through a 7-Speed DCT (Dual-Clutch Transmission). For this version though, appropriately labeled the Sterrato (Italian for dirt) the engine gains 38 horsepower to land at 640 and loses a little torque, landing at 440 lb.-ft. The Sterrato is raised 1.8 inches and has giant fender flares to house the 305-millimeter-wide tires at all four corners. This car also comes factory with LED rally lights mounted on the front bumper.

This Dirt Monster comes with only the most appropriate paint job fitted to a rally Lambo. Bright orange with stripes the colors of the Italian flag going the full length of the vehicle. It has a giant number 63 on the hood, which is Lamborghini’s famed racing number. The Lambo also has a giant skid plate under the car which would be very functional if this thing ultimately wasn’t going to end up in someone’s collection.

In conclusion, this is the most gutsy car to come out of Italy in a very long time and probably will be for the coming years. This car’s stated 200 unit production run is already sold out and the Sterrato will probably double in value before you see one for sale again.
