We have seen Ardun heads for sale, Ardun valve covers, parts and pieces, etc. We have never seen a set of original Ardun parts like this one. The seller claims that all of this stuff was part of the original run of 250 that constitutes what purists believe to be the “real” Ardun parts. The stuff that was made later is amazing, awesome, and it certainly keeps the heritage of these landmark parts alive but there’s such a limited quantity of the “real” stuff around we always celebrate it when examples come to market. Beyond celebration, we are full-on freaking out about this eBay sale because it is literally an Ardun treasure trove of rare and unobtanium parts and pieces.
This is not just a set of original heads and valve covers. Nope. This is the complete pair of heads, the valve covers, the pushrods, the intake manifold, the carbs, the lifters, springs, the whole works! It even comes with a matched Isky cam that was probably made by the man himself back in the day.
Other than complete, assembled engines we have never seen anything like this for sale. Maybe you have and this is no big deal but when you consider the history of these parts and who has handled them, they are really, really special. Yes, stock four bangers make more power at virtually every point than these engines did back in their day but how can you argue with how neat this junk is?
Cool does not come cheap. This entire pile of parts has an asking price of $25,000. Yes, there are a lot of really bad ass, full kill engines that you can buy to make four digit power for less than that but you aren’t paying for power, you are paying for legacy and history. Is it worth it?

Ardun: Putting the damn valves where Henry Frod should have.
All that is needed to complete this treasure trove is an early Allard to fit it all to. They used the flathead and indeed made their own heads at some stage. Sidney Allard was the father of British hot rodding – look him up on t’internet and marvel at his creations…
Best to melt them down and make some low stressed cast part for an LS , like a dong cozy.
