Watch The Incredible New DeTomaso P72 Cruise, Scream, and Carve Corners At Goodwood!

It is one thing to see a new hyper-car as it is unveiled, sitting majestically among the throngs of people and media but it is wholly another to hear one run and drive, especially with some full throttle action as part of the fun. The stunning DeTomaso P72 has been dropping jaws around the globe since it was introduced to the gearhead masses at the 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed. In our opinion this could be one of the most beautiful cars ever built and certainly one of the best looking modern Italian sports cars ever as well. This video gives us not just some beautiful visuals but some great audio of the car on course and what it sounds like when the Ferrari V12 gets its dander up.

For whatever reason, the copper aspect or at least the copper look aspect of this car really drives us wild in a good way. The way the wheels contrast against the red paint and the way that the copper toned interior lays out is stunning. It looks like something from the movies with the gauges in various pods, all of them shined up and gleaming in the sun. It’s truly a beautiful sight and when all combined with the high arching front fenders, the glass bubble that the driver and passenger sit in, and the sounds emitting from the short exhaust trying to quiet the Ferrari engine down, there’s a magical package there.

The price? $800,000. In today’s world it was kind of shocking not to see a million dollar price tag on this thing. We’re still short all the money, but wow. Just wow, what a beautiful thing.

Can’t help but see a lot of Speed Racer Mach 5 in that thing. It looks like a cartoon, but in the best way possible.
