Hot rodding is a personal thing. We build the stuff that we like because WE like it no because that’s the flavor of the month or the thing the popular kids are doing. This goes for everyone, not just the guys building cars in the style that you like. Take the video below for example. The guys at Urban Hillbilly made during the Rat Rod Magazine cruise in Illinois and it captures a bunch of stuff ranging from the truly awesome and cool to the slightly garish. But the most major thing it captures is a group of people out enjoying their cars and driving them. No, you will not like some of the stuff in the video but we don’t think you’ll hate all of it.

For us, our buddy JB Bracken is in here driving his killer blown big block truck that is shown in the lead image. A motorcycle land speed racer of some note, JB uses this truck as his pit vehicle and hotel runner when at the Ohio Mile. The rig has also made a pull or two down the mile and if we are remembering ran somewhere around 140mph give or take.

As the snow banks have piled up here at home, seeing some people having fun on a warm summer evening in stuff that they built is just what the doctor ordered.
