The Thing That Never Was: This Two Door Nova Wagon Was Done Right And We’re Loving It

I have publicly and loudly stated my absolute disgust and hatred for so called “shorty” cars. You know the ones I mean. These are the cars that look like something that a clown would drive around the ring at the circus. It does not mean that I hate every car that has been modified to be shorter, however. This two door Nova wagon is an example of short done right. Chevrolet never made a two door Nova wagon but whoever built this one did. He used the longer doors from the two door sedan model to make ingress and egress to the back seat easier. There’s a four speed, a small block, body colored steel wheels, and a nice lowered stance.

The photos of the car are not exactly pro level but they are clear and show straight quarters, a perfectly clean underside, and an interior that is largely stock looking. The work on this car is so good that people who do not know better will absolutely believe this to be a factory car. Hell, it would be FUN to play along with that notion if you get some blow hard know it all who stands there and rattles off “facts” about a machine that never actually existed until it was physically made.

Proportions and the like are hard things to get right. This car has ’em down pat. Looks factory, has to be fun to drive, and is different than anything else you’ll see at the car show. We’re in love here and the wagon’s for sale. The $44,500 price tag is tough but then again the process of modifying this car was not easy, nor was it cheap.

How much does being an individual cost? $44,500 apparently.
