I’m a fan of old trucks, and especially those that have a good old farm or work truck look. This International pickup has that look and if it was sitting much lower to the ground it would be something ultra cool to drive regularly. Luckily, that’s exactly what the owner wants to do as well, so he’s dropped it off at Casey’s Customs for a front clip, rear axle, engine and more. The cool part is he brought a donor car along with the truck so Casey has something to cut up for parts. The front clip from this Impala is amazingly close to the stock width of the International which makes it a pretty easy front clip swap, but not before having to cut off all the factory International stuff which is built like a tank.
Repeatedly during the two videos below you’ll see Casey showing the heavy materials used by International Harvester during the original build of this truck. As he says, it looks like tractor parts in some cases which is appropriate since it is an International. The good thing though is that there is plenty to weld to no matter what you need to install for the front clip.
Here are the first two videos in the series.
