A Mighty Unicorn: This 1957 Dodge Town Wagon Power Wagon Is Incredible! 315ci Hemi, Factory Power Steering

One of one. One of bloody one ever made! That’s what this 1957 Dodge Town Wagon Power Wagon is. The only truck ever known to have been built with power steering, it has a 315ci Power Giant hemi, every freaking factory option available including the pushbutton transmission, a winch, the chrome body accents that you never see, and loads of special equipment like a roof mounted radio and other stuff. These are on a short list of my dream trucks and while they likely ride like unladen hay wagons, I just cannot get over the fact that something like this was actually built and built for a few years!

There are many different ways to gauge the hardest core SUVs of the era that marked their early existence but how can you possible name one more boss than this? These were huge tanks that were equipped with the big engines, the big axles, the winches, and all of the bells a whistles a forestry truck would have had and they were designed to lug people around not just in some degree of comfort but also in style! Hell, the color combo on this thing would look at home on a Dodge Lancer or any other passenger car of the era.

OCD Resto has always been on the tip of the spear when it comes to finding and restoring these incredible unique and special trucks. Not just these Town Wagons but fire trucks, early 4×4 trucks, factory conversions, and other rigs that are too cool to ignore. They gave us the tip off onto this beautiful beast and all we want to do is drive it. Damn you quarantine…damn you! Actually, on second though. This beast is so hearty we bet it’s Corona-proof.
