You just saw the video from Peter Harrell at Harrell Engine and Dyno, where he’s doing a competition valve job on a set of cylinder heads for a small-block, and this valve job and cylinder head test and rebuild is NOT that. But the process is much the same! The machines, or lack thereof, may not exactly match but these guys are using primitive tools and principles to achieve similar results. I know it is strange to those of us used to seeing high-t equipment, but it sure is fun to watch.
