Amazing Stupidity: Watch The Most Clueless Person In America Drag A U-Haul Trailer Down The Highway On Its Side

Amazing Stupidity: Watch The Most Clueless Person In America Drag A U-Haul Trailer Down The Highway On Its Side
(Words by Greg Rourke) – We’ve all had bad days. Wife yelled at you, boss riding your ass, dog ran away, whatever. Can give you a case of the “f” its, yeah? It does for me. Here we have a guy with zero “f’s” left to give.
Working in the rental industry keeps a roof over my head, and Canadian whisky in my glass. I see people who have no business towing a trailer happily darting into traffic and off into the sunset, to get into who knows what sort of shenanigans. There’s a science in towing a trailer, if it’s not loaded correctly you can get into dangerous sway. The trailer just doesn’t want to follow the tow vehicle if too much weight is behind the axles, 10% of the gross weight must be on the ball. Is this what happened here? This enclosed U Haul has come off the ball, looks like it punched the liftgate in the nose, and is now being dragged on it’s side by the safety chains.
How far did he drag it like this? All the way to the nearest U Haul facility with a perfectly good reason why he should get his deposit back? Did he continue to his new residence so his friends could unload what was left of his furniture for the obligatory beer and pizza? We may never know.

I’m thinking they probably only had another 75 miles to go………it’ll be fine . Could you imagine taking that back to UHAUL and explaining how you ground off the whole wheel , tire , and hub .

  2. 75Duster

I saw this video this morning and laughed my ass off, as currently I am renting a U Haul trailer to tow my ’75 Duster to the Street Machine Nationals.

Doesn’t this person care about fuel economy? I hope U Haul charge them for a new trailer.

The persons smart phone didn’t have an answer to solve the problem so it must be ok to keep driving.

“What’s that weird noise?” “I dunno, crank up the music louder so we won’t hear it!” The public needs a readily available list to keep us safe from people like this, like a sex offender list!!

I worked in the truck rental industry for years. I always thought the rental agreement should have had an IQ test at the bottom.

Most U-Haul dealers hook up trailer rentals to your vehicle because of liability reasons. I rented an auto transport one time and they didn’t tighten down the trailer to my truck. I’m guessing the same thing happened here? This is the most clueless driver ever!!! Epic fail!!!

I agree with everything you wrote Mr. Lohnes, except for one……. It should be Kentucky Whisky.

Saw a empty open car trailer come off a pickup that was running 65-70 mph one time on I-70 in Washington, PA. The safety chains kept the trailer behind the truck till they got the truck stopped.

Brian you are a man of good taste!

Canadian whiskey is 1000% better than that over sweet kiddie’s drink that you call Jack Daniels….

I’ve had Canadian whiskey, tastes like paint thinner. No big surprise from a country that thinks Tim Horton’s is fine dining 😉 .

Too bad your going to have to develop a taste for Jack when trump puts big duties on canuck hooch .
