This is one of the most stunning “follow-up” videos we have ever seen. When the Master Shredder truck from Industrial Injection blew up on the chassis dyno this year, it did so in a way no one had ever seen a diesel engine fail before. While attempting to make 3,000 wheel horsepower, hell was quite literally unleashed and the massive diesel engine flew basically out of the truck, landing back in the chassis in a pile.
Shawn Baca, the guy in the driver’s side of the truck was unscathed outside of burns to his arm. This becomes even more miraculous when he takes us inside the cab and shows us how bad it got in there, how much stuff was flying around, and really just how catastrophic the whole situation was.
There’s a moment when the guys are kind of leaning over the nose of the truck looking at the engine and they are just trying to figure out where to start. The transmission is totally broken off, the engine is sitting askew sideways between the frame rails, and there’s even questions about the integrity of the chassis that need to be answered after pulling the engine.
This is 100% devastation on a level we’ve never seen before with respect to diesel engines. Insanity.
