That Is A Caprice Wagon Hooked To A Pulling Sled – Video Of It In Action Here!

(This is simply one of our favorite videos of 2014. A hot rodded Caprice wagon hooked to a pulling sled with a luggage carrier shell strapped to the roof. Just saying the words out loud make us smile and hearing the sound of car makes us laugh out loud. These guys have a sense of humor for sure!) Ever wondered what would happen if a car setup for the drag strip was hooked to a pulling sled? We have but that’s largely because we’re mentally ill and have nothing better to do. The guys at Eastwood Motorsports are apparently more twisted than us because they took the 1980s Caprice wagon they have made into a drag strip killer and hooked it up to a full tilt pulling sled recently. With no front filler panel, a roof mounted luggage carrier, mis-matched sheet metal and all the sex appeal of Bea Arthur’s corpse (she’s dead right?), this could be the most BangShift approved car of all time. The engine is a hot small block with a healthy dose of nitrous and it pulls some frame twisting wheelies on the strip….no so much with a sled hooked to it.

Maybe the most impressive part of this video isn’t so much how far they dragged the sled but the fact that they dragged it at all. We thought that the whole works would have stopped long before it actually does in this video. The wagon certainly was not flirting with a full pull but it looked damned good making things happen on the track while the hook lasted.

Got any other videos of cars hooking up to the sled? If so we’d love to see them. That being said, we’re sure that any other footage will pale in comparison to this minute and change of complete awesomeness.

Thanks to Andrew Hatley for the tip!

It’s my kinda town when they host tractor pull at the local baseball field! I had a 94 Buick Roadmaster estate with the towing package, I bet it would hold its own with some good rubber.
