Ok, now this is interesting, kind of weird and kind of awesome. This 1986 Ford F-150 truck sits low and it sits on a Monte Carlo chassis. We’re not talking about a 1971 Monte Carlo chassis, we’re talking about a 1980s Monte Carlo chassis judging by what we can see of the frame and the undressed area. The engine is a center bolt valve cover equipped 350 that has truck manifolds and what looks to be an Edelbrock Performer intake with a carb. The truck also has a Turbo 350 transmissions that is operated by a floor shifter that comes up through the side of the transmission tunnel in the center of the rig.

According to the eBay ad, the truck was built by an old guy in his 70s who was always known for building the lowest stuff around. He went above and beyond with this one because did never liked the way trucks with the Twin-I beam suspension looked or drove when they were lowered. He ditched that Twin I-beam setup and slid a whole new chassis under it!

All is not perfect, though. The driver’s side looks beautiful but the passenger side has some sheetmetal that needs fixing. The front fender got bashed somehow and while that would not be the world’s most difficult job, it is still a pain to replace. The interior needs to be spruced up as years and years of use are starting to show in the form of wear and tear.

The thing looks cool, especially on the steel wheels with the Chevy caps. Would you put 22″ wheels on this thing as the guy in the ad says you can? We wouldn’t!
