Funny Video: Watch A Guy With A Jeep Grand Cherokee Fail Snow Driving 101 While Going Mental
Not being a Jeep aficionado, I think this is a Jeep Grand Cherokee having it’s rev limiter tested. It would appear this gentleman has driven into some deep snow on a residential street. Forward progress has come to a halt, he’s beached it. Undeterred, he sets about unsticking his vehicle.
He tries everything…flooring it, swearing at it, flooring it some more. Hmmm…maybe if a just floor it…nope, no help. Perhaps some expletives. Even that didn’t work. Perhaps jumping out while it’s in reverse and almost running myself over. No, still stuck. Perhaps a stream of obscenities screamed at passersby. I know, maybe mashing the long pedal for extended periods. He  tries swearing at the tires and kicking the snow next to the car. Even that doesn’t help. It seems obvious to the videographer, and everyone who watches this, that if he just went a little farther in reverse he’d back off the snow that’s preventing egress.

Finally he figures out flooring it a little more gets the snow to turn him loose. Either that or springtime has come and the snow melted. Off our hero goes, probably to the Jeep dealer to complain about his mysterious transmission failure.

If you’ve read this far it should be obvious that there is a little NSFW language here.

At best a four wheel drive is fwd when you can lock both axles . Most are only 2wd when manufacturers don’t put limited slip/lockers as original equipment on the rear axles. You still need SOME common sense.

Why help an angry idiot when so much fun can be had watching a dipsh@t demonstrate why a SUV is such a spectacularly dumb car to own? Unless you are a fellow SUV owning dipsh@t

I have never had any problem with the snow, or mud. I put it in 4 wheel low, put it in first gear and creep my way out of it… People who try flooring it in high gear with their wheels turned… Duh!!!you have to have some sensitivity to the outside of your vehicle… You have to be able to FEEL IT…
