Nitro Of Another Kind: This Hill Climb Bike Sounds Angry On A Full Load Of The Good Stuff

Drag racers kind of have the market cornered on nitromethane fueled excitement…or so they think. There are actually more an a few types of motorized fun that used the good fuel but the one that seems about as far afield from the quarter mile as one can get is motorcycle hill climb racing. These screaming, paddle tire monsters haul up grades that are frightening to look like, let alone attack on two wheels. Nitromethane is used by the top bikes for the same reason it is used by top fuel. Ridiculous power.

This video is cool because we learn about the bike, the guy who rides it, and how they built it. We’d prefer less music but you can hear the engine when the rider fires it up and hits the hill. That’s the big thing, right? Motorcycle hill climbing has been a thing for a long, long time and guys were doing it long before they had machines like the one you are about to see. Some of the early hill climbing stuff was insanity.

Enjoy this look at a truly monster hill climb bike. Would you ride it?
