The RV Go-Kart Lives And It Is AWESOME – Video Of It Being Built And Thrashed!

We told you that this was going to be totally fantastic and it is. On the last episode of his show Dirt Every Day Fred Williams bought an old motorhome and began to pull the whole thing apart with the stated goal of making a motorhome sized go kart. Seriously. His intention was to turn a once proud home on wheels into a humongous toy. Obviously we’re 100% behind that idea and since Fred is just insane enough to make stuff like this happen, we have been impatiently waiting for this episode to come out so we could see what the “finished” product looked like and how hard he was going to beat on it. Well, within the first minute of this video you’ll see both of those things and it literally only gets better from there.

Why do something like this? Why not! Hey, if you had the room and the desire, you can build you own and about the only thing that is “hard” about the whole process is actually getting rid of the motorhome corpse you’ll generate from the job. The thing is stone simple, looks straight off the set of Mad Max and looks like it could be the most fun ever. With a big block, no body, a captain’s chair, no weight, and huge tires, this could be the most BangShift approved vehicle of all time.

Extend the roll bar forward into a cage, add 2 rows of 5 seats and belts, then meet 10 new friends for some desert cruisin’!

440 6pac, don’t let the brand of engine hold you back from doing one of your own.

Lotsa motorhomes used big-block MoPar engines.

It ain’t the engine that’s holding me back. I have to convince my better half I need one.

Cool go-kart! I would have went a little further by putting in the engine in the rear and shorten the chassis. This way you can pop a lot of wheelies!
