The Sneaky Pete Mud Truck Is As Insane As It Is Short Wheelbased – This Video Shows It Dominating Pits In-Cab And Out

The guy who was genius enough to plug a classic Peterbilt cab on top of a truck chassis, jam about 1,000hp into it and then dominate mud pits with said creation deserves some sort of award. People who win the Nobel prize don’t do stuff nearly as cool or as crazy as this. As you can see from the preview image below, there is no roll cage inside this old aluminum cab. It is super important to note that this is not some lumbering, slogging, freak. No, this is a screaming, angry, flying freak! We tried about 100 different ways to dig up some information on the trucks and we have no more than what you can see. We’re going to take the not too risky guess that the engine is a 600(ish) cubic inch big block that is making near triple digit power. When you see how the thing responds to the throttle and how it accelerates like a dragster in the slop your jaw will be hanging as well.

Remember that there were a few monster trucks in the 1980s that used big rig cabs. They were cool but the wheelbase that many of them used was so short that they were very tough to control and basically existed to creep over cars. This thing is very, very short but is seems to handle pretty well for what it is. It makes big speed, takes corners under heavy throttle, and it does not seem to want to tip over. The in-cab video is our favorite part. The video cuts to it a couple of times. It is one thing to see the truck putting on a show from outside but when you see what the driver is actually doing and seeing inside? WOAH MAMMA!

We’re pretty sure the truck is on 44″ tires and while the proportions are always going to be a little weird with the length versus height stuff, we’re over it. This truck is 100% BangShift approved and we’re sick enough to want to see what it would run on the drag strip with slicks on the corners!
