You know you want it. Heck, WE want it so that means a bunch of you out there likely think the same way. What you are looking at, outside of the obvious, is some primo imagination and fabrication. This vehicle began life as a 1985 GMC G2500 van before being transformed into a massive Radio Flyer wagon by someone who actually did have a lot of time on their hands along with a bunch of talent. We know that there have been a couple of these built over the years and one of them is actually a drag racing wheelstander but seeing this one stopped us cold. The seller is pushing the fact that this is a parade car and with its open headers, it is a loud one at that.
The one thing we keep coming back to when looking at the photos of this machine is that it is pretty much a boat mounted to the van chassis. The four seats inside the tub look to be boat seats, the fact that there’s a console where the driver sits is full on boat-tactic, and the general shape of the creation strikes us as aquatic. The engine is a Corvette small block from 1965 according to the seller. With open pipes, we’re guessing that it sounds pretty nasty and that’s likely part of the vehicle’s parade appeal.
Out back there are AFCO coil over shocks, a four link setup to mount the rear axle, and there an automatic transmission. We want to see some sweet burnout photos of the rear hides completely alight! We have no idea what it handles like, what it is like to sit and basically drive from the center of a bathtub, and no idea how one would go about ripping donuts in that giant hunk of red awesome below either.
From the handle to the wheels, we really dig this thing. Sure, it is a side show but every once in a while, something that just makes you smile and shake your head is cool, right? Wonder what it would run in the standing mile.
