This car is freaking spectacular. It is absolutely the cleanest little Torana we have ever seen, it has run 6.94/200, it does all of this one a 275-radial tire, and you’ll never believe what the engine is. This car uses a traditional 23-degree small block Chevy that is estimated to make more than 2,000hp! Not a Hemi, not an LS, not a 481X, not a 2JZ, not some weird-ass rotary, a freaking tried and true, 23-degree small block! Why? Who knows but these are 400 of the hardest working cubic inches we have ever heard of. Built by the legendary Dandy Engines in Australia, here’s the short breakdown of the car from the video’s caption:
Holden LJ Torana Dandy Engines 400ci 23-degree SBC V8
Garrett G42-1450 turbochargers
FuelTech FT600
EFI tuned by Frank & Nads
Powerglide transmission,
TCE converter
Chassis by SCF Racecars, 275 Pro Radials
Best ET: 4.47 @ 160mph | 6.94 @ 200mph
Power: 2000+hp
There’s nothing more to say about this car. Watch it makes some wheel-standing runs and revel at is absolutely beauty. Just the under hood stuff alone is enough to bring a tear to your eyes. There is not a nut, a bolt, a washer, or anything out of place. Long live the small block Chevy!
