Registration for the 2016 Gran Turismo Awards is open right now and if you are showing, building, or helping finish a car for SEMA 2016 then you need to throw your hat into the ring and perhaps see your hard work immortalized in the iconic Gran Turismo video game franchise. We’re part of the judging crew again this year and our job will be to pick the Hot Rod category winner for review by Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi who will select the overall winner from the following categories:

Asian Import

Domestic

Euro

Hot Rod

Truck/SUV

Last year we picked a hot rodded 1978 Mustang II as the winner in our category and while it was not the overall champ, the judges spent a ton of time going over the car and giving it the proper consideration. This is your chance to see the blood, sweat, tears, and long nights of your SEMA thrash rewarded the coolest way possible.

To go along with the fun of the program there’s a killer party on Wednesday night at the Marquee Night Club inside the Cosmopolitan hotel. That’s where the winners are announced, the trophies are awarded, and some of the biggest, coolest names in the industry hang out to have a blast, play GT and talk cars.
