A Thing Of Beauty: This Arias Hemi-Headed 427ci Small Block Ford Is One Fat Headed Hunk Of Awesome

While the Arias family motto is not officially “Hemi all the things” they have been making that their business for decades on end. From their awesome 8.3L and 10L engines to the conversions that they have developed for LS, big block Chevy engines, and small block Fords, big horsepower and big (physically) cylinder heads have been their hallmark. This 427ci engine makes 700hp naturally aspirated on 91 octane fuel and on top of that, it looks like the toughest thing you will see all day. While the object is not to win a beauty contest it sure helps to look completely bad ass when you are making all that power.

This thing was built tough. Based on a Dart block, filled with a load of good stuff like a billet camshaft, forged rotating assembly, custom distributor, and that jewel of an intake manifold, we’re kind of in love here. The Demon carbs are kind of an interesting choice and judging by the numbers, they are doing the job.

This thing is being sold as a crate engine by the guys at Pacific Performance Products and the asking price is $23,000. The parts bill on this thing seemingly climbs really quick when you start adding up the price of the heads, the block, the rotating assembly, and the billet camshaft alone. Start talking about custom intake manifolds, distributors, and the valve train in this sucker and you’d be hard pressed to do it any cheaper we think.

Want a baddie of a small block Ford? Here is your chance!
