Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last month or so (If that is the case, Welcome back!), it’s been pretty difficult to avoid all of the fanfare and hoopla around the new Corvette Z06. The majority of the specs on the car were leaked earlier this month, but with the official announcement made yesterday via a live streaming event we can finally talk about the car.
Here’s the basic specs:
– Supercharged 6.2L LT4 Gen V engine with an estimated output of 620 horsepower and 635 lb-ft of torque.
– Choice of seven speed manual transmission or eight speed automatic
– Enough lips, scoops, ducts, and other assorted aero bits to seemingly keep the car glued to the ceiling at speed
Personally, I love the way that the car looks as it reminds me of the C6-R, especially in yellow, but we really don’t care about my opinion; we want yours.
So, what’s your take on the 2015 Z06? The best Corvette yet? A butter-rear (“I like everything but her rear”)? “Who cares, it’s just another Corvette?”
Like the car, hate the black wheels.
I forget what gear I’m in with a 5 speed some times… 7? Maybe I need an automatic. They’re giving them to me as a tax rebate, right? Make mine black please.
I love how it looks. Only thing I’d have changed is the engine. The Z06 is supposed to be the uncomplicated one. I’d like more displacement and skip the supercharger instead. Save that for the ZR1.

The 2015 Z06 … same as it ever was [ mechanically ] Only now losing all its C6 elegance taste and restraint … trading it in for Pre Adolescent – Pastiche – OTT – Camaro butt end – Pathetic Cartoon design in a feeble attempt to make the now decade old underpinnings relevant
Sad the way GM’s taking steps backwards ( still keeping those POS leaf springs etc ) while Ford’s taking major leaps forwards ( IRS on the ‘ Stang … etc )
Even sadder that the general public’s falling for it … though NOT .. with their checkbooks I might add . Seems those retired Mid Life Crisis plumbers have enough Vette’s in their garage

Hate the C7 … hate the Z06 even more . Can’t wait to see how GM’ll butcher the ZR1 down the road . Can you say ….. ‘ Hot Wheels’Transformer ‘ wanna be ?

Meh…. I really haven’t been impressed with the looks of a new Corvette since 1967. That’s not to say they aren’t cool… I just prefer the looks of a Viper over the Vette.
Im in love. I will take mine in jet stream blue. I will have my drag radials ready so I can go run some low 10s.
The only thing Im not excited about is that little 1.7L blower. Its a mans car so put a mans blower on it. Even a 2.3 would be fine.

Absolutely love it. Every time I see one in public or at the strip, there is a crowd around it. Haven’t heard any sane person say it isn’t awesome.
Best two door chevy of all time. Most exotic sports car for the money bar none. An engineering masterpiece. For the haters….it’s sold out !

C7 is dead to me. There’s no saving it by adding more aero…every time I see that rear, I need to find a brown paper bag just in case. It’s tacky and overdone. It may be a technical masterpiece hiding under the least sexy skin of any Vette since those C4’s of the 80s. No I think they look better, at least they didn’t look like they went down to the parts bin to pick up styling cues from other current models.
