BANGSHIFT QUESTION OF THE DAY: WHAT AUTOMOTIVE EVENTS DO YOU PLAN TO ATTEND IN 2012?

BANGSHIFT QUESTION OF THE DAY: WHAT AUTOMOTIVE EVENTS DO YOU PLAN TO ATTEND IN 2012?

Well 2012 is here. Depending on your opinion of the whack jobs who claim the world is going to end in about 12 months, our time may be limited. This raises a good question. What the heck are you going to do in 2012? We have a full slate of plans this year, the beginnings of which will kick off in a few weeks with the live broadcast of the NHRA pre season nitro testing in Florida.

Some sanctioning bodies and race tracks have actually dropped ticket prices in an effort to get fans and enthusiasts that have been squeezed by the economy into their seats and venues. That’s a good thing for your wallet and hopefully for their bottom line.

What events are you going to hit this year? An NHRA event? NASCAR races? Local circle track and drag meets? Car shows? Mud Bogs? Monster trucks? The possibilities are almost endless with all the junk that happens each year. Hey, if the Mayans were right, the clock is ticking?

What automotive events do plan on attending in 2012?

I’ve got to get to Epping at least once this year. Worcester Nats are certainly on the list too, but haven’t decided bike or car yet…

I used to go to many NHRA events. With the cost of tickets, and the phony shows they put on I am going to look more at nostalgia racing, as it is GROWING! Yeah front engine top fuel and nostalgia funny cars!!!!

I’ll be attending as many events as I can, the NHRA Midwest Nationals at Gateway International is one of them. After 20 years in the US Navy it is time for some fun.
